The food was excellent with huge portions. The burger was one of the best I have had and my daughters fish and fries was fresh and hand made. My granddaughter had the children's chicken tenders. She loved them. The cafe was cute and friendly. We will be going there every time we visit Lincoln city

Busy street but parking can be found directly behind the restaurant. The family got the Halibut Fish & Chips and the Salmon Fish and Chips. Both were excellent. Small restaurant at the north end of town and another larger location at the south end, each with the same menu. Don't pass this one up for a great meal with perfect portions.

Just a great little restaurant open for breakfast and lunch. They have maybe the best mushroom and Swiss burger I have ever had. The only bad thing was the blue cheese dressing. This is our go to restaurant and they now have second location south end of town.

Hubs and I dropped in here on the way home from a weekend camping at Beverly Beach. I'll be honest -- our intended lunchtime stop was another place, but they were closed. I had the eagle eye out for fish and chips, and the garish writing on the windows stating just that drew us in. What a funky little building -- it's two rooms completely separated. We sat on the right side, which was slightly less junky looking than the left. The place is clean, but it's a disorganized, rough looking mess... which is par for the course for Lincoln City, for the most part. The service was fast and very friendly. The staff there is the shine of the place. This was a Sunday morning -- Mother's Day, actually -- and the place was half full of what appeared to be local regulars. Service was quick and attentive, and our meals came quickly. Hands down, the best fish and chips I'd ever had. The halibut was awesome, and they use a very light dry fry so you are tasting light, grease-free fish. The tartar sauce is house made, and it is bright and tasty, again not heavy and greasy like some are. Hubs had the clam strips, which our waitress admitted they did not bread there, but regardless, they were of a nice size, very tender, and very tasty. Serving sizes appear huge, due to the MOUNTAIN of fries they give you. And they are good fries, too, but I would have preferred half the fries and one more piece of fish instead. We chatted with the waitress as she cleared our plates, and mentioned we had to get back to the truck because or dog was waiting for us. She said, "You aren't going to take her a little something, not even a few fries?" I explained that giving fries to this old Swiss Shepherd would be a regrettable act later on this evening. "What about bacon? Surely she can have some bacon?" Greta would have killed me in my sleep if she knew I passed up a chance for her to have some bacon. "Uh, sure!" I said, and the woman went back and got a piece of bacon for me to give her. So Greta would certainly give it five stars. ;)

Tried their new location on a Tuesday morning with some friends. We didn't care for the décor (or lack of) or the musty seats and tables or the blaring loud TV playing tv land reruns. We ordered corned beef and eggs, pancakes and an omelette. My friend couldn't even finish the pancakes because they were undercooked and tasted 'off-like something may have gone bad in the mix' per my girl friend. The omelette was bland, no spice, obviously frozen veggies that were still wet and my corned beef was out of a can. Eggs were scrambled way too dry for all of our tastes. Waitress was very friendly and got to us as quickly and as often as she could which was the only positive aspect of an otherwise disappointing meal. None of us will be coming back I'm afraid.

I was there for breakfast with two other people and we each had two pancakes, hash browns and two eggs fried. Our bill was just over $32 plus a tip. I felt like that was fairly excessive for what we got. However, the server was very friendly and the food was what I had expected, I just didn't expect to pay $5 for two mediocre pancakes. I might go back to try their fish & chips, I'm not sure yet though.

Tried both breakfast and dinner. They were both very good. Good pancakes, good omelettes, and good coffee.

Good, local place with friendly people. Basic breakfast and lunch with some added seafood items.

Another great place to get your fried seafood fix while you're on the coast! I mean, if you're taking a beach trip, you've gotta have fried delights of the sea! I had the fried clam strips, which were huge, flavorful and filling! Our server warned us we would not leave hungry and she wasn't kidding! My boyfriend had the fried razor clams, which he didn't think I would like as they tend to be a bit chewier. I actually liked his better! Again, not so great on the ambiance, a bit too blah and they had a TV on, which is a big turn off for me. Our server was very friendly but almost a bit too much so. Really great food, though, take your favorite sea urchin there and chow down!! I also must add, they have the best fries I've ever tasted, they're almost indescribable. They have a tasty seasoning on them, a very light, crispy outer crust, but are moist and tender inside. Time to nom out!

Cute diner place, friendly server. They serve my favorite kinda fries here, so that was a big plus.

Basic burgers and sandwiches joint. Food was good, but it's hard to mess up a burger (although I asked for medium rare and got well done...). Good and friendly service. Not much in the way of atmosphere.

Tiny place with two separate sides to the restaurant. Friendly waitress, quick service. The food was average, price was good. $19 for two.

For what it is, this little hole in the wall was a pleasurable experience. The waitress was very friendly and helpful, the place was clean, and the portions are big. Lettuce on the shrimp Louie was kind of bitter which is probably why they give you a pint of dressing g to smother it. My hash browns were good and breakfast as a whole was done right without being fancy. Seem to have decent specials too, but we passed on that. If you want a solid breakfast at 2 pm, this is your spot.

Great burgers and fries. Nice friendly staff, clean environment. Good was very good and large portions.

We had a wonderful breakfast. The Popeye omelette was so fluffy and stuffed full of wonderful ingredients. It tasted out of this world.

  • Doreen S.

I had pancakes, eggs bacon, hubby had crab and cheese omelette hash browns and toast. The coffee is pretty bad , prices are high. There was a LOT of crab in that omelette. Yes, the service is lightning fast, very friendly and attentive. We won't be back, there's other places to try out.

We were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was here. I got the halibut fish and chips, which were great! The rest of my family got breakfast, chicken strips, grilled cheese, and a bacon cheeseburger. All of us were impressed and everyone that had fries remarked at how good they were. It was about $50 for the five of us (all adults), which for a tourist town in the summer was pretty good.

Had the eggs benedicts, very good! I hope they have great success at their new location!

Perfect breakfast spot at the beach. Come hungry and leave stuffed! We split the Denver Omelet. This my HALF folks! Half! Very charming and great service.

  • Kathy M.

Not so good. We were visiting the area and based on reviews, decided to stop in for a quick breakfast. First the service was efficient and very friendly so I wanted to be able to write a positive review and support this small business, but the food wasn't to our liking. My husband and I shared an omelet and pancakes. The spinach, bacon and cheese omelet was very dry and overcooked and while the pancakes were filling, they were too thick and fluffy, almost an inch thick in the middle, for my taste. Maybe we hit the Cafe on a bad morning, but it didn't live up its 4 star rating.

  • Jessi L.

Very good! My husband and I stopped in after shopping and both ordered a hamburger. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. The fries were also awesome. Very filling and satisfying food. Would definitely recommend to my friends and family, and would return here again the next time I'm in town:)

  • Julie M.

Went here for lunch, I had their special which was a Crab Melt with fries which was delicious! My boyfriend had the Shrimp Louie with mounds of fresh crab and mixed greens. Loved the food and service was super friendly! Thumbs up!

This was a great find. The staff was very friendly and talked with our kids and brought them things to color. They even had a sippy cup for our infant. The food was delicious and quick with large portions.

  • Samantha K.

We tried to like this place. We thought that having to wait almost 35 minutes for our food meant that maybe they were cooking it to order and that it would be really delicious. Wrong. My boyfriend's corn beef hash looked like it came out of a can.... He stated that the eggs were the best part of his meal. I ordered the French dip that tasted like the meat was microwaved. We were less than impressed. The waitress said she was proud to work here because the food is so good, even if it takes a bit to get. We disagreed. I wouldn't come here again.

We like dining in small locally owned diners. Breakfast service was fast. The food was good with large portions.

Wige and i hit this place on a sunday morning bout 10:30 it was pretty packed. There is very little seating in the restauraunt. There was another side we did not know about but it was full too. Wife wanted eggs bendict but they were out of the sauce so she had the diced ham scramble. Said it was good. I had a ham and cheese omlette which was good but packaged diced ham made it awfully salty. Toast and what tasted like homemade strawberry jam was very good. Service was friendly and pretty quick. I would eat there again probably try something different.

  • Andrea V.

Affordable good food. Not out of this world but definitely a great place to stop and have a decent meal at a reasonable price. Service is good. Only one server and cook though so it was a little slow, but understandable when you only have 2 people serving at least 20. I would give it a 3.5 overall.

    (3)
  • J T.

3 stars because the owner is really nice . The waitress on the other hand didn't seen happy to take our orders. It was an inconvenience for her to modify items on the menue. Food was good but not worth the treatment.

    (3)
  • Toby M.

A very nice dive. A simple selection that includes some unusual specials...including an elk burger w/was slightly overcooked but the sign outside says 'cook wanted') so they were likely rushed. Huuuuuge portions!! Price was fair. Coffee a bit bland... But i quickly forgot about it as i munched on my toast with fresh home made jam. All said you cant go wrong here! Bon Apetite!

  • Andréea T.

Chicken fried steak was undercooked and bloody. Biscuit was stale and hard & gravy was not real sausage gravy, it was more like a paste. Weak and gray looking coffee that they charged $1.50 for. Eggs and hash browns were decent. There were two of us that ordered breakfast and we paid about $26.00. The service was good, but we were grossed out by the food.

  • David D.

Breakfast was okay. Nothing that exciting. Service was a little slow but very friendly.

Mixed results. I had dirty dishes and very greasy food. My husband really enjoyed his burger.

  • Nancy K.

Let me start by saying that the service was very good and I really want to support a local family business but my food experience was just not up to par. Perhaps one day I'll try again and definitely order something else. This is a small 2-roomed diner. We were seated on the side that had a "for sale" section. Admittedly, I'm not a fan of this kind of thing because most things for sale look 2nd hand and/or look like it's been sitting around for decades (dust). The table we sat at was wobbly but not a big deal. Had the chicken fried steak and pancakes (I was starving). The chicken fried steak was undercooked and made the gravy pink from blood. I think because it was undercooked also made the meat super tough and grisly. Totally unappetizing and not good at all. However, the pancake was good but the little syrup container was scalding HOT so I had to use a napkin just to pick it up. So overall, not my best dining experience, and for that I give it a MEH.

For biscuits and gravy. Think cheap hotel free breakfast and then lower your expectations. Canned and bland baby!

This is the first restaurant that all my kids, husband and I ate everything... Nothing fancy about the place, don't let the humble looks deceive you!!! I ordered the ham, eggs and hash-browns... They served me bacon instead of ham, and I didn't want them to take the bacon back!!! I'm so glad they served me wrong, the bacon was so tasty... My kids ate all my hash-browns... We had the pancakes and the Denver omelette was huge with sautéed bell pepper and onions done right!!! Very generous on the ham in the omelette. A girl across from us ordered the blueberry pancakes, and I had food envy... They looked delicious. The girl was very happy with them. Thank you for a comforting breakfast... Great service as well.

I had a really nice, quick lunch here -- had their lunch special -- a Chili (cheese) burger that came with either fries or onion rings. This is the second time I've ordered a chili burger since moving to the NW -- and both times they have been served open faced, so I'm guessing that must be a regional thing. Being from Texas where chili is the state -- everything -- I'd never seen an open-faced burger done up like this (see photo....) This was a toasted bun with a large burger patty spread over the two halves, and then smothered in chili with beans (mostly beans) and topped with grated cheese. -- Exactly like the other chili cheese burger I tried elsewhere. Very different -- but good. When in Rome and all that.... The onion rings were the best I've had since I can't remember -- a stack of really yum-crispy fried, tender rings! Great with a pool of ketchup for dipping, and a dash of Tabasco for jazz. They have 2 menus -- breakfast of lunch -- and getting there at 11:30, I got to pick whether I wanted a late breakfast or an almost early lunch.... It was a tough choice because they had so many yummy sounding options. The breakfast special was a "Popeye's Omelette" -- which I'll be trying in the future (spinach!) And their soup of the day was vegetable-beef and barley (or the requisite clam chowder) which were difficult to pass up as I live for a good bowl of soup.... And they offer fish and chips in halibut, cod, and salmon varieties -- also a must in for future lunching. They sort of straddle the Under-$10-to-Under-$20 price range -- just about right, and comparable to most of the other breakfast/lunch cafes in town. Be forewarned that their cafe seats 20 people max-- so large groups are probably not gonna fit -- and there is parking in back for just 5 cars total. Verrrry friendly and hospitable folks!! High on the list of places to go with husband.

Great food. Large portions for the price. Crab omelet was stuffed full of crab. Service was good with a small town feel.

We enjoyed our lunch at this quaint café. The french dip and the fish & chips were tasty and served in generous portions. The service was terrific. Our waitress was very cheerful and friendly. And the price was not bad. Our bill averaged out to around $11 per person.

I had an omelette today at this little yellow cafe on the west side of 101 in Lincoln City. It had lots of veggies, cheese, and I asked them to add sausage and leave out the tomatoes. I chose hashbrowns and rye toast. PERFECT! None of the food was greasy at all. Just as good if not better than the Otis Cafe! The people were hometown friendly. They are so fortunate to eat this good every day! only open to 3 most of the week later on the weekend. You have to park in back. I will be back to try the buffalo burger. This very small cafe is a hidden diamond in the rough. Don't let the first impression as you walk in deter you.

  • Annette G.

Opted for the cod & chips, and the halibut & chips because it was late in the day (closes at 3pm) and the ground beef had been consumed. Why people would order beef when literally two rock throws from the beach, I don't know. The fish was lightly deep fried and very tasty. The chips also very good. Lost a star because the kids wanted chicken strips -- not nuggets, but real chicken -- for the kids meal. They got two slender strips and applesauce cup for seemingly a lot of dollars. Our fault; we were hungry and didn't open a menu. No frills but good. Next time, breakfast.

    (3)
  • Jasmine A.

Not all that. The food was edible, but not great. We came in for lunch, and I haven't tried the breakfast menu so I can't speak about that, but I was not impressed. My daughter ordered the chicken strip kids meal which was $6.95 and came with only one chicken strip. I had the French dip which as another person had mentioned tasted microwaved. The water was the best part of our meal. Don't expect I'll be going back.

We love this place! Awesome eggs Benedict. I had the regular, he had the shrimp...tons of bay shrimp. Yummy hash browns and homemade jams to choose from. Huge, yummy omelettes too. Don't be fooled by the tiny rustic place...delicious breakfast. Thank you Lynn!

Soda Pop: Pepsi Products Service = 5 Food = 3 So a 4 rating. This place is small and appears to be a family run place. Service was very fast and the hostess/waiter was really friendly. I could tell there were a few regulars in the room, based off the conversations they were having with the waitress. One of them was remarking how the waitress made sure they bought coke for her husband, even though the restaurant carries Pepsi products, which I think is another mark of great service. The food was ok. Certainly large portions, the pancakes were huge, but the flavor was ok. I won't knock them lower than a 3 for food as some people may like what I didn't, ie the hashbrowns were a little undercooked. The sausage an cheese omelet was good, loved the cheese, but a little greasy. The toast was AMAZING! Get it as a side. Overall, good experience in our short stay in Lincoln City.

This was a morning on the go! We are on the coast for work and needed more sustanance than a little continental breakfast at the hotel. Looking up and down Highway 101 in Lincoln City, Oregon, we came across The Corner Cafe while we were headed north on the other side of the street. Loving the Mom & Pop shops like we do, we turned around and parked across on the little side street. The decor is very sweet. A huge spatula and wisk adorn the back wall while photos of the ocean and grandkids line the others. The waitress (and owner we believe) was very welcoming. She knows the names of regulars and tries to get to know new ones as soon as they walk in the door. The breakfast menu is simple, easy to navigate, and written so we didn't have to ask many questions. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs and my husband had the two pancake breakfast with scrambled eggs and sausage. Everything was tasty, especially my homemade biscuit! The coffee is very smooth - no bitterness in the cup. And we got cream in a little pitcher - no tiny little cups to open. That's a big bonus! The cost is very reasonable, very comparable to big chain restaurants. We will visit this one again!

The best breakfast i have had in a long time. If I lived closer we would come back often. If we returned to the area we will stop in again for sure. the only thing that was really confusing is its like two doors and was unclear where to enter and then the poor waitress was running between the two rooms. The design needs a little help but overall it was great food and thats all that matters.

  • Andrea J.

So delicious! Looks sketchy but the food is amazing! I had the eggs Benedict and my boyfriend had the clam breakfast. Definitely a mom and pop type place that I will remember as one of my favorite vacation food places!

Stopped here because we were a little too early to check-in to our hotel. Food was excellent, and the portions where huge. I had the Elk burger and it was delicious. Waitress was super friendly. Best place you can go for the money in my opinion. We will definitely be back.

This is a very small diner with six tables. There was one main waitress who was nice but could have used some help. She was running this way and that most of the time we were there. The wait to order was about 20 minutes. After that it took another 45 minutes for the food to arrive. Not great when you have two hungry children. Maybe on busy Sunday mornings it would be a good idea to have more cooks and staff. Food was good but honesty not worth the wait and I would have appreciated a heads up if they were backlogged on orders, especially with two young children. My son pretty much had a meltdown. Not fun.

Amazing clam chowder and OMG THE COD fish and chips!!!!! AMAZIIIINNNGGGGGG!!!!! Brother had the grilled halibut burger and 5stars!!! Sister in law had the halibut fish and chips and she said it was bomb. LOOOOOVE their tartar sauce. Next time we come through definitely coming back here!!!!

Excellent food with the best service I've ever had. Try the razor clams with breakfast. Yes. For BREAKFAST

  • Jim P.

Best patty melt I have ever enjoyed! The fresh flavorful rye bread, right amount of cheese, sweet onions and topped it all with fresh made onion rings! Delicious! We will come back to try breakfast before we leave the area. The fries looked wonderful and they make some bountiful looking clam chowder! Only negative is the lack of Diet Coke! They only serve Pepsi products which that product and their food chains turn me off. I enjoyed water!

Been here twice in 2 years and was wonderful both times. Great food great service and great prices. The portions are great too. The menu is small but everything on it is delicious

This place defines "greasy spoon," except nothing was actually greasy. For breakfast, it was pretty damn good. The waitress asked specifically how we'd like our eggs and bacon cooked, which was welcome. I like my bacon crispy to a point just shy of burned, and the eggs were perfectly cooked as well. Hashbrowns were crispy and portions were generous. The only disappointment was that they don't have good tea. It's definitely run on the cheap. Waitress's husband was cooking the food (maybe they're the owners), the menus were stapled inside Peechee-style folders, and there's kitsch everywhere... some for sale. Gotta love the framed needlepoint of "Old Man and the Sea" up on the wall. Still, the food was just what we needed, and the price was right. We'll be back!

Visiting town for the weekend with my parents. Husband had the steak and eggs which he ordered medium rare and it came out well done. I had the shrimp Benedict and it was cold. The hollandaise sauce was even cold. Other than those two issues everything else was okay. Waitress was super friendly.

Small, cozy little spot with a nice diverse menu. The service was great, very friendly. Has the feel of a family run restaurant and the food was excellent! Good, fresh ingredients and very tasty! Definitely worth the stop...I'd eat here again for sure.

Awesome food and great service. Came here once in 2012 and we came back again this year. Definitely an awesome place to have breakfast. Also has great pricing on the menu for a lot of food.

I ordered the blueberry pancakes and if you do the same make sure you have an appetite to go with it. I was greedy and ordered 3 and later realized that 1.5 pancakes is all I needed. In addition to my own food, of course I sampled my boyfriends dish. He had a cheese and sausage omelet, toast+raspberry jam, and hash brown. I'm not sure what they put in it, but the toast... Is amazing.

This family owned Cafe is awesome. The eggs are real, when scrambled with cheese was requested, I received fluffy perfect eggs with cheese melted into them. Love the small town feel. Awesome flavor on the pork chops. Crab Benny was fresh and delicious. We will come here whenever we stay in town.

This little cafe is the reason why people say, "Don't judge a book by its cover". This cute little cafe has an amazing team of wait staff and knowledgeable cooks. I ordered a veggie omelet with pancakes. This is the FIRST time I have seen anyone do the veggies in the veggie omelet justice. The veggies were perfectly caramelized and the mushrooms sauteed to perfection. The pancakes were picture perfect and when you think of the all the qualities that go into a "perfect" pancake, they hit it, spot on. I asked the other members of my party about how their meals were and their mouths were too full to answer.. I'd love to import these folks to Keizer Oregon.. I'd never have to cook again!

Three stars for the perfect hashbrowns and the fact that the wait wasn't over an hour like all the other breakfast spots on a summer weekend, but the rest of our breakfast was just mediocre. Even the kids meals weren't anything special. (family of five)

Perfect hash browns, a crab omelette jam packed with crab, lovely light eggs, big sausages, quirky & great

Decided on lunch instead of breakfast and none of the four of us 'Boomers were disappointed. Clam strips were "the best he's ever had" (brother-in-law) but was a tiny bit disappointed it only came with fries and not cole slaw... But he still LOVED the clam strips. My chili burger was above average, and the halibut fish & chips (wife & her sister) got two thumbs up. We're going to try our best to get back for breakfast before our week vacation from central California. Great service, friendly staff, we recommend. Parking was a little problem but food was worth it.

Unlike a previous reviewer, we found The Corner Cafe open and are enjoying our breakfast with a pleasant waitress. Very large portions.

  • Tina M.

Yummy breakfast, reasonable prices and very nice people. Locals seem to enjoy it there so that is a good sign. Not a greasy spoon kind of place at all. Seems small but there are actually two areas of dining so don't leave!

  • Leilani W.

I wanted so much to like this place. After the reviews, I was crossing my fingers for the best. The help was super nice and the place is tiny but homey. We were the only ones in the place, so I was hoping the food would be cooked to perfection. Coffee was meh. My husband ordered the special omelet with bacon inside it, among other things, but the bacon was almost pink rather than crispy. They used a generous serving of real lump crab in my benedict (ordered based on other reviews) but the hollandaise was less than warm. Hash browns were typical greasy spoon, crispy goodness. Our toddler loved his crispy bacon and pancake as well, so who knows?!?

Me and my SO were in town for the Valentine's Day weekend, which was, admittedly, a zoo. The previous evening we had dined at a relatively expensive restaurant, and so decided to look for something cheaper for breakfast the next morning. Another important piece of context, is that all the places we had tried to eat at before settling the Corner Cafe had 30 to 40 minute wait times. We were seated very quickly, due to the interesting dual dining room nature of the place, and got out menus fairly quickly as well. The place was rather full which seemed to have hit the establishments two waitstaff rather hard. We waited almost fifteen minutes before receiving any kind of refreshment, and then another five or six minutes before we could get an order in. The menu was an orderly affair, simple and cheap, which was certainly what we had looked for in our pick. My SO ordered a vegetarian omelet, and I ordered a chicken fried steak. I had not read the Yelp tips, and was instructed to change my egg order after thinking over easy wouldn't be too hard. The food came about ten to fifteen minutes later, which isn't terrible by any means, and the place had started to clear out a little bit anyways. The pace moved up a bit, even though there was a steady flow of customers moving in and out. This place was doing okay, initial wait time aside, until the food came out. To say one thing, the portion sizes are fantastic. Huge and filling with how much you get. The omelet was enormous, and not bad, and the hash browns were cooked very well. Even the eggs, being that they were not cooked to my own direction, were pretty good. The chicken fried steak however, was a disaster. It had not nearly enough breading for how much steak was involved, and a sour aftertaste that was only enhanced by the dried out store bought gravy that had been slopped over it. I may be biased, but that soured the whole cafe at that point. The wait, which was annoying, but bearable, became a grueling test of patience and endurance. The chaotic nature of the waitstaff, where once was quaint and understandable, became a monument to disorganized mediocrity. The Corner Cafe may not be too terrible, judging by the rest of the reviews here on Yelp. But for the love of God, do not get the Chicken fried steak, and do NOT go there on a weekend or a holiday. You will not have a good experience.

GREAT Breakfast! Crispy hashbrowns, ample servings, attentive service. We loved this place--went back 2 days in a row. Attentive service. Has 6 tables, but tables turn quickly and everyone is very nice there. Only drawback is their coffee is pretty standard. I would love to get a great local roaster bean in there! However, the coffee won't keep me away! Can't wait to try lunch.

Very informal, relaxed atmosphere and service but friendly. Generous portions and the food was good. The epitome of roadside diner.

Wonderful breakfast place. The blueberry pancakes were light and tasty. No uncooked batter around the fruit as sometimes happens. Eggs cooked exactly as ordered ( over medium). Friendly attentive service and great prices.

First off, Pig N Pancake was really full. Like, wait at least a half an hour to sit down full. So we headed down 101 while checking Yelp and that's where this place comes in. It had some decent reviews and seemed like it might be a hidden gem. Well, it surely wasn't. Let me also say that I generally discount the poor reviews on Yelp, hoping that person's experience was an isolated incident, so I would like to say I am somewhat of an optimist. So we walk up, and part 1/2 was full to the brim, so we were told to go to part 2/2. Its a room full of quite a few tables, a Harley-Davidson shrine and a really dirty old fish tank that was half full. We walk in and a part is just leaving so we have the place to ourselves. Too bad every single table was dirty. And not just plates on the table dirty, like garbage on the floors, shoes sticking to the floor dirty. So we wait for the table to be cleared (not cleaned necessarily). Our waitress, had to have been having a bad day. Now, I am in customer service as well, and everyone has one of those days, but she was on another level. Every word was said in the most depressing of tones in what seemed to be an attempt to get us to just walk away so she could take her break. By the way, as of now there are probably 8 other tables with nobody else there and each table was filthy. So we sift through our school notebook folder with the menu stapled within, trying not to let the menu touch anything on the table, but also trying not to touch the menu itself for fear of long term repercussions. So now we are set. We know what we want and she is ready and alert for our order. As the order began, each option within the menu is presented in the most argumentative tones. "So, yeah, do you want hash browns or pancakes, or what?" Text doesn't do justice to how badly she didn't want to be there. After we order the food, we kindly remind her that we would like to also get waters and a coffee if possible. I have to admit, we got the food pretty fast so that could have been worse. 2 of the 4 orders were not too bad. The toast was burnt but otherwise it was perfectly edible. The other 2, not so much. The sausage in the omelette was not good and the egg tasted almost like bleach. My wife's french toast was very bland and tasted like it was a pre-made microwaved french toast and it very well could have been. Later on, my brother was asked why he didn't eat his omelette by a kind woman who stepped in to help out our new unhappy friend. When we said it just didn't taste right she proceeded to let us know of that it was actually just the spicy sausage. It wasn't worth arguing, we were looking to get out of there. Our waitress comes back with the bill and we ask if we could get it split, "Well yeah, um, I guess." like we had just asked for the biggest favor from her. Long story short, we tried to overlook the ambience and have a good meal, but that didn't happen. The food had a shred of potential as we had 2 decent meals but the others were not good at all, couple that with probably the worst service we have seen, I would not recommend. Just wait the 30 minutes at Pig N Pancake, the lines don't lie. Ps... Just a tip, having "So I Married An Axe Murderer" in the background of a breakfast establishment doesn't scream nice relaxing breakfast in the coast.

As we were preparing to leave Lincoln City our group of 6 adults and 6 children from ages 6 to 14 needed to wake up and grab breakfast before hitting the long road home. With 30 minutes notice this Cafe that seats 18 made room for us and everything from the Blueberry Pancake for the 6 year old ( so large she couldn't finish it ) to the Crab Benedict ( very fussy 24 year old ) was perfection. How they were able to juggle Homemade Cornbeef Hash and fry up eggs while making pancakes is beyond me but the huge portions perfectly cooked and pleasantly served were on our table in no time at all! To keep all content while waiting they actually turned on the latest Planet Of the Apes Movie to occupy our time. We will make it a regular stop during our Beach getaways.

Great welcoming and friendly hosts and waitstaff. Entire family enjoyed lunch of cod fish and chips. Best food we had on trip! Kids loved getting the tv remote which gave experience a little character and warmth. Highly recommended!

My wife and I ordered two of the daily specials, deep-fried cod ($7.95) with fries, substituting cups of clam chowder for the fries. We found the chowder excellent (4-star) and the cod only average, bordering on soggy (2-star). We agree, if we were to return, it would be for the chowder.

Hubby and I ate here on our way out of town. Like the rest of our luck on this trip we beat the breakfast rush. Small local place and not a lot of seating but I was next to the heater too so that was nice. I ordered oatmeal which was a huge serving and just the way I like it. Then I at my hubby's pancakes which were some of the best pancakes I've ever had, and I've had A LOT of pancakes. The were thick and fluffy with that slight buttery crust. Perfection!! Hubby got a pork chop with gravy and hash browns. He loved the gravy! He is a gravy fan! One star dropped only because it could use a tad updating/maint. Chair was wobbly and the tables and chairs seemed like they'd had enough wear and tear. But do NOT let that stop you from visiting this cozy and friendly cafe!

We happened upon this unexpected treasure on "souvie shop" row in Lincoln City that tastes authentically local and not Made In China. We were dazzled with the great taste, fair prices, generous portions and the friendly (and slow) service - maybe due to the slow pace of Oregon's coast - but still a tad too slow given the small size of The Corner Cafe. It's the only negative we experienced. Well, that, and the clam chowder was much too salty. The fresh fish had a welcome and delicate cornmeal style breading instead of the usual heavier batter you find on fish & chips plates. The "Ruben" on the menu is not the traditional Reuben; they generously layer corned beef and turkey in a double decker club style sandwich with the usual sauerkraut and Thousand Island style dressing on a deli rye. It was a nice twist on the classic and a memory maker. The bacon cheeseburger was good - and a touch dry - but a decent burger. Would definitely go back for their version of the Reuben and the local cod or halibut fillets. Don't let Corner Cafe's dive-y small size and the creepy clown of the antique shop next door scare you away!

Good little diner. The food is good and very friendly service. Has a good variety of diner food. Has some good seafood choices. Had eggs and razor clams for the first time. The clams were very good.

Fantastic halibut fish and chips, and halibut pieces.. found this place by accident but would definatly go again (and again). Very small, cozy seating with room for maybe 20 people max. Wait staff were really great. TONS of food for the money! PS: Tried to go back for dinner on Sunday (skipping Mo's if you can believe it) but they were closed. Primarily for breakfast and lunch service.

After a failed breakfast recommendation from our hotel concierge (they recommended a place that had been closed for over a year!), we wandered into the Corner Cafe, and were pleasantly surprised. I'm glad I overheard the server mentioning to another table that the Italian breakfast sausage patties were homemade. By far, the best breakfast sausage I've ever had. The jam was homemade as well. Fantastic. Good home cooking. Though I had the biscuits and gravy, the menu also featured quite a bit of seafood that I'll have to try next time (along with my side of Italian sausage, of course).

A very cozy, local feel type of place. Small... about 9 tables. The wait staff was very friendly... she had worked there for about 5 years. They had the best fresh, blueberry pancakes that I have ever had! Andy and I also ordered the crab omlet! Oh my gosh... there must have been a whole crab in that omlet. One of the best down to earth breakfasts that we have had!

my omelet was thick with egg, which usually disguises a skimpy inside, but not here. the bacon within was plentiful and cooked to perfection. The hashbrowns were hands down, the best in town, and I have tried them all. New breakfast spot...I think so...

Just stumbled in for lunch, and what a treat. Friendly family staff. If you want want greasy, heavily battered fish and chips go somewhere else. This was succulent fresh-from-the-boat halibut with just a light coating. Scrumptious! Husband had a burger which he loved. This will be on our hit list for future visits to Lincoln City.
